Sea Escape – Ruth Brownlee, Sarah Carrington, Dawnne McGeachy

March 30 - May 11
Tatha Gallery, 1 High Street
Newport on Tay, Fife DD6 8AB
Tatha Gallery, Sea Escape

Our first exhibition is dedicated to the sea by three painters committed to its character, beauty and mystery. For centuries, Britain’s coast has attracted artists fascinated by their relationship with its beguiling and terrifying qualities. It would be hard to stand at the water’s edge, look out and for it not to have an effect on the psyche. In the face of awe, we feel insignificant, weak and realise mortality; yet through its power and energy we are inspired. Sea Escape takes us on an evocative journey both physically and psychologically around the Scottish coastline.
