Pull up to the Art Car Boot Sale to discover contemporary art from across Scotland and beyond
Bargain hunters, art connoisseurs and keen collectors are gearing up for the Art Car Boot Sale, which returns to Glasgow next month.
Crowds of treasure seekers are hoping to walk away with masterpieces that cost anywhere between £5 to £5,000 at the lively market, which celebrates the city’s DIY art culture. A broad range of works will be on offer with participants including award winning artists and Turner Prize nominees, as well as emerging stars.
The below tips will help you make the most of the Art Car Boot Sale 2026.

Where and when is the event?
Art Car Boot Sale takes place at The Briggait, a historic category-A listed market hall in Glasgow, beside the River Clyde. The historic former fish market turned artists’ studio hub will transform into Scotland’s largest contemporary art market, from Saturday 7th November to Sunday 8th November 2026.
Who is running the event and why?
Glasgow-based contemporary art curator and gallerist Patricia Fleming is organising the event with support from Wasps Artists Studios. Their aim is to offer an alternative to the traditional art fair model by making buying work directly from artists accessible and engaging. “Glasgow is known for its DIY art culture… We’re excited to be delivering a snapshot of one of the most dynamic contemporary art scenes in Europe, while keeping a spotlight on Scotland,” says Patricia.

What artists can be expected to feature?
Expect a mix of established and emerging names including Ruth Ewan, Andrew Cranston and Toby Paterson. The lineup of rising talents includes Grace Browne, Richard Ehlert Domenico, Noru Innes and Frank Waterton. Work will include painting, sculpture and prints spanning prize-winning and studio-practice pieces.
What food vendors will be there?
A curated selection of Scotland’s food and drink vendors will serve throughout the weekend to keep visitors fuelled while they browse. Highlights include Soul Food Sisters, Smoked Tamago, The Cruumbleologist, Sonny’s Homemade Pasta and Really Awesome Coffee alongside a dedicated bar called In The Round.

How much is a ticket?
Standard adult tickets cost £10. Early Bird tickets are priced at £8. Concessions are £5. Booking fees will be applied. Under 16s enter free and tickets can be purchased online or on the door for this accessible art buying weekend.
