“Cosmic inspired homeware is definitely on the rise,” says Sam Hood, Founder and Creative Director of Amara. “We’re starting to see a transition from accessories, such as pineapples, and a focus on homeware featuring star prints and cosmic designs. I think for customers it’s all about adding an element of escapism to their living spaces and creating a unique area within their homes.” You have to think outside your current aesthetic world, says Hood: “Push yourself out of your style comfort zone and be brave when selecting patterns and designs; for example, star prints are an accessible pattern that fits well in an interior.”
