September sees the return of the annual Doors Open Days; Scotland’s largest free festival celebrating the country’s heritage and built environment. The event offers visitors free access to over 1000 venues across Scotland throughout September, every year. With the biggest programmes and some of the most impressive interiors, Glasgow and Edinburgh’s Doors Open Days events are ones not to be missed.
Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival’s 2017 history and heritage themed programme features 116 open buildings, plus exhibitions, concerts, events and a dedicated children’s programme taking place 11-17th September.
Edinburgh Doors Open Days celebrates the anniversary of the New Town with over 120 open buildings and special events taking place 23rd-24th September.
