Swiss-born, Glasgow-trained artist Nicolas Party takes everyday objects and exaggerates them; they become enlarged, bold representations that are recognisable in their form but possess a surreal quality that obscures shape, scale and proportion. His background in graffiti art is present, as is a fascination with production, particularly mezzotint. His forthcoming exhibition at Glasgow Print Studio is part of Glasgow International.
