In conjunction with After the Storm, an exhibition of furniture constructed from timber windblown during Cyclone Andrea, award-winning designer Angus Ross has made a batch of oak cheeseboards. In January 2012 many trees in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh came down and the wood has been used for a new collection of bespoke pieces by a host of Scottish furniture makers. Ross’s boards have a steam-bent pegged handle and chamfered ends and laser engraved by surface pattern designer Carolyn Frame.
Price £80.
