Graphic designer Nicky Sloan cites seaside jaunts, tea with grandparents and woodland camping trips as the source of inspiration for the nostalgic aesthetic of her homeware company, Magpie. The latest collection, Ahoy!, encompasses nautical kitchenware and stationery, including this glass carafe. Look out for the design’s economical serrated motif, which crops up as waves, clouds and, as seen here, the boat’s hull. What’s a sailor if not resourceful?
