Indulge your passion for the visual arts at the Edinburgh Art Festival which kicks off at the end of July. A feast of shows, activities and events, the programme brings together the capital’s leading galleries, museums and artist-run spaces, alongside new public art commissions by established and emerging artists. Creating work under the theme The Improbable City, linking to the fairy-tale architecture and setting of the city, include acclaimed artists Charles Avery, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd and Ariel Guzik. What’s more, the majority of the festival is free to attend.
