Scotland’s housing industry gathered on the 20th June in Glasgow to celebrate the 6th annual Scottish Home Awards.
The award for ‘Scotland’s Best Showhouse’ was the most competitive category with entries from throughout the country. The judging panel – comprising of Scotland’s leading figures in the areas of design and property – was chaired by the Scotsman’s Kirsty McLuckie, who put the finalists through a rigorous judging process to finally award the ultimate accolade to Edinburgh-based company Zinc Developments for its development at Mavisbank Grange in Midlothian.
Construction and Design director Colin Wong was proud to be recognised for the award and commented: “being a small, bespoke developer against the might of the big developers is often somewhat daunting but we have always worked by our own principals which is to put design and quality at the forefront of all our work. Our clientele has always appreciated our emphasis on detailed design so for this to be recognised by a panel of Scotland’s leading design and property experts makes this award that bit more special. Both John and I have worked tirelessly on Mavisbank Grange but we also couldn’t of met the success this development has achieved without the great team around us; so thanks must go out to every single person involved.”
